Many people have heard of Mahabage and Pitabage, but they know very little about Dolosbage. In fact, Dolosbage is an extremely beautiful and temperate region. It is located in the central region. If you really want to visit this area, it is best to avoid the weather. Besides, there is a lot of fog, so it is better to wait until the fog clears to get a beautiful view  and an experience that you can feel in your heart. Otherwise, it is difficult to see a clear view.


So, Dolosbage is a place that can be visited from Colombo even in a day. It is easy if you use Google Maps. After all, you can see many waterfalls on this road and have an experience like Nuwara Eliya in the middle of beautiful tea plantations. That is why it is called Little Nuwara Eliya.  On the way, you can see waterfalls,

• Nalagana Falls


• Dummala Falls


• Diyangiri Falls


• Rikili Falls


• Gona Vatuna Falls


• Rukmal Falls


Afterwards, if you like, you can also climb Kabaragala Mountain. I have already posted about Kabaragala in a previous post, so I will not write about it again in this post. If you want more, you can go to Nawalapitiya and take a bath in the Nawalapitiya rock pool, or you can go to Gampola and see anything in the Ambuluwa Kandy area. After all, this is a very beautiful road, and you should visit it at least once. 

 Here's how to get there

For those coming from Colombo or Ratnapura, come to Avissawella,

and when you come to Galigamuwa via Karawanella, Ruwanwella,

turn right at the Warawala roundabout and enter the Bulathkohupitiya road.

Arriving at Bulathkohupitiya, from that town, travel towards Dolosbhage via Dedugala road.

You can see this beautiful place.

For those coming from Kegalle, you can use other alternative routes to reach Bulathkohupitiya via Hettimulla, Moronthota, Moradana, Udugoda.

Kalugala Gerandi Ella Waterfall sri lanka Tourist Place

 🖋️   As you travel from Kandy towards Mahiyanganaya on the A25 (known as the Mahiyangana Road) you can see this massive cluster of waterfalls known as the Kalugala Gerandi Ella Waterfall on the left side lying far away towards Kalugala. There are several narrow and long waterfalls in Sri Lanka by the name of Garandi Ella which means Rat Snake Waterfall.
