After passing the city of Kandy and passing the town of Teldeniya on the Mahiyanganaya - Kandy road, you will find the road leading to this Rangala village. This pool is located at a short distance of about 37Km from Kandy. If you are going in a private vehicle, you can go quickly. If you are using public transport, you should go to Teldeniya from Kandy and from there take a bus to Rangala or Poddalgoda.


This natural pool is a very famous place in this Rangala village, which has a beautiful environment. It is also a place where 35 people have lost their lives while bathing in it.  This is not a place for bathing, but if you can't swim, don't go in... There are invisible holes and the water gets colder as you go deeper. The villagers say that this place is almost 30 feet deep.

 ðŸ”†This natural pool with a small waterfall flowing down the hill is a great place to go and have fun with friends. Located near the Knuckles Reserve, those who want to stay close to this place can book a guest house in advance.


It's okay to go to see beautiful places in Sri Lanka, but remember to protect its beauty.


Rangala Natural Pool 


Rangala Natural Pool is a beautiful natural pool situated in Rangala in the central province of Sri Lanka. 


The village of Rangala is situated approximately 15 km off Teldeniya. 


Although this natural pool looks inviting with its crystal clear water, it has a depth of over 30 feet which makes it a dangerous pool to swim in. 


The location of the Rangala Natural Pool is marked by a small bridge over the Kotaganga, originating from the Knuckles Mountain Range and the pool can be seen above the bridge.


Rangala is situated in knuckles forest reservation near kotta ganga.  Journey is starting with scenic tea plantations and ended on a hillside plateau.  It is one of the most favorite destinations of Sri Lankan and foreign hikers.  Hilltop is compatible for camping.  Beyond the forest is a place for many days of wild trekking.  But it's enough one or two days to reach the first hilltop.  If you are a nature lover or a hiker, few words are enough to describe the place, "It is a heaven"

Kalugala Gerandi Ella Waterfall sri lanka Tourist Place

 ðŸ–‹️   As you travel from Kandy towards Mahiyanganaya on the A25 (known as the Mahiyangana Road) you can see this massive cluster of waterfalls known as the Kalugala Gerandi Ella Waterfall on the left side lying far away towards Kalugala.
